Tammarra Letbetter

Mental health and Substance Use Disorder are two very important issues that I am passionate about. I come from a family that struggled with both mental health and substance abuse.

I decided a long time ago I would help people and started my educational journey at Georgia Southern University. I had no idea what the process of becoming a mental health counselor would be but I knew I was ready. I graduated with my Masters in 2014.

I was young and ready to take over the world. Well the world did not happen but I did discover something astonishing. Mental health assistance, awareness, advocacy, and treatment was lacking.

Today I am trying to create and facilitate a safe space for clients to grow and heal. I use Person-Centered therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to assist clients reach their goals. Please check out my blog to learn more about me and my passion for helping others.

Traveling Adventures

I love to travel and learn new cultures. I have managed to travel to UAE, Rwanda, Dominican Republic and a few other places. I recently traveled to Africa to learn about Multicultural Trauma and had the honor of meeting of the survivors of the 1994 genocide. Education and training is very important to me so I am always studying and learning to techniques.
